AUDIT MANAGER
POSITION DESCRIPTION
An Audit Manager is a member of the Client Service Team and liaison between partners, clients, and staff members. They will be responsible for planning and managing multiple auditing and accounting projects and client engagements simultaneously. As Manager, you will supervise staff and coordinate engagement workflow and progress. You will be responsible for managing staff time and engagement budgets, as well as reviewing work papers and financial statements of those you supervise. In addition, the Manager helps to coach and train staff members and begins to develop relationships with referral sources and potential future clients.
POSITION-RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
The Audit Manager can expect to focus on the following areas:
- Supervise and plan field engagements, including financial statement audits, reviews, and various consulting engagements.
- Supervise a team of 1-3 staff members throughout engagement and provide technical guidance while in the field or office.
- Recognize, research, and perform moderately complex accounting areas of the clients’ balance sheet and income statements.
- Prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures as required under GAAP or other accounting frameworks, as applicable.
- Ensure the completion of clients’ annual reports on a timely and accurate basis.
- Interact with clients to identify and resolve field audit issues.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and relationships.
- Develop training for new staff auditors as well as participate in ongoing training of all audit staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by partners.
- Provide excellent client service—maintaining client relationships by liaising with the client, promptly troubleshooting, and resolving client issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- 5+ years of Public Accounting experience, including management of audit engagements.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or currently obtaining a CPA license.
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively with staff members, clients, and partners.

CLIENT ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Client Accounting Specialist (Bookkeeper) is a member of the Client Service Team and is responsible for providing individualized service that meets the unique needs of each RCM client. The Client Accounting Specialist requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time appropriately to accommodate multiple tasks and make independent decisions effectively. A proven track record of exceptional client service is a must!
POSITION-RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
The Client Accounting Specialist can expect to focus in the following areas:
- Perform monthly accounting/bookkeeping functions for assigned clients utilizing QuickBooks Desktop and Online
- Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations
- Payroll Processing and Preparation of Quarterly Payroll Tax Returns
- Prepare sale and use tax returns
- Prepare Form 1099’s and personal property tax returns
- Prepare compiled financial statements
- Assist with other accounting projects as needed
- Provide excellent client service—from initiation and throughout client relationship by serving as a point of contact for the client, promptly troubleshooting and resolving client bookkeeping issues
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum of 2 years recent accounting experience, preferably with a public accounting firm
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, & Outlook
- Advanced technical proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online
- Works autonomously within established procedures and practices
- Must be decisive, organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Take a broad perspective to problems and spot new, less obvious solutions

• Research technical tax issues
• Mentors and leads staff and provides training for new and existing staff
• Assists in manages existing client relationships and supports business development efforts
• Understands and effectively uses current tax and accounting software applications when completing engagements

INTERNSHIP
During the spring semester, we offer a great opportunity for college students to experience public accounting. Our internships typically last from February 1 through April 15. Interns perform the same work that we typically assign to our first year staff accountants. This includes preparation of tax returns, including individuals, business, and fiduciary returns, assisting with audit fieldwork, and various bookkeeping projects. Our goal is that an internship will develop into a full-time staff position after graduation.
